Aldeia do Mato River Beach
This Blue Flag River Beach in the Village of Aldeia do Mato, near Martinchel, also known as North Bay Village, is just 15km and a comfortable 15minutes drive from Casa Rosden

”Quality of gold” was the distinction conferred on the River Beach North Bay Village, in July 2009, by the National Association for Nature Conservation and it was one of the ONLY two bathing areas of Portugal to receive this classification.
Again in 2011 it is on the list of river beaches awarded the Blue Flag, which means that it meets the criteria for Water Quality, Information and Environmental Education, Environmental Management and Equipment and Safety.
This site has a guarded bathing area for both Adults and children is equipped with a cafe/bar and terrace with spectacular views. Canoes and boats are also available to hire
There is plenty of free parking at the beach.
