Praia Fluvial de Aldeia do Mato
This River Beach in the Village of Aldeia do Mato, near Martinchel, known as North Bay Village, is just 15km and a comfortable 15minutes drive from Casa Rosden
”Quality of gold” was the distinction conferred on the River Beach North Bay Village, in July 2009, by the National Association for Nature Conservation and it was one of the ONLY two bathing areas of Portugal to receive this classification.
North Bay Village is also on the list of river beaches awarded the Blue Flag in 2009, and again in 2010, which means that it meets the criteria for Water Quality, Information and Environmental Education, Environmental Management and Equipment and Safety.
This site has a guarded bathing area for both Adults and children is equipped with a cafe/bar and terrace with spectacular views.
There is plenty of free parking. You can also rent out canoes and boats for a river trip.
