Figueira Da Foz
Figueira Da Foz is a lively and cosmopolitan resort at the mouth of the Modego River, is just and hour and a half drive from Casa Rosden.
Literally meaning ‘fig tree at the mouth of the river’, legend has it that the fig tree stood at the waters edge and local fisherman would tether their boats to it and conduct their business.
Figueira Da Foz has the largest sandy beach in Portugal which stretches for more then 3km. It is very popular with surfers.
